What is Idolatry?

I have a unique perception of what an idol is, after having been an “idol avoidant” all my life… even to the burning of family pictures. I took the letter of the Law very seriously.

Since my complete turn-about from religion, I have come to recognise the worship of an externalised God (which actually is a mental “image” or “idol” we have created for ourselves) as the actual IDOLATRY. I had sacrificed everything enjoyable on the altar to this “idol” in my head, and made my personal life a living hell of drudgery. Because I felt I was not allowed to take pleasure or joy in anything “too much”.

Now, that I have displaced the “idol” in my head and moved my affections to my HEART, I love everything. And this is because I am what is known as a “pantheist”, meaning that God is everything and all. Therefore, nothing exists that isn’t God… not even that statue in the picture. It too is made of the Consciousness that is God.

Understanding the Bible through Neuro Science

I am going to try and help simplify your spiritual journey and Bible understanding.

For the last several days, I have been watching Youtube video interviews with Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor - a Harvard trained Neuroanalyst who suffered a stroke in her Left Brain and experienced life through only the Right Brain hemisphere for 8 years, while she was waiting for her Left Brain to rebuild itself.

Her famous TEDTalk is titled “My Stroke Of Insight”, and I highly recommend her material. She published a book titled:
Whole Brain Living which you may order from her link!

Now, how does this tie into the Bible teachings? In particular Ephesians 2:14,15

First of all, a warning It seems you can’t get any of the many Bible translations to agree on what the verse is meant to say. I am going to quote the BLB version for this instance.

To arrive at a more accurate translation, it does help to consult the Interlinear Greek Text for a wider array of words and definitions that could be used in gaining a better understanding.

“For He Himself is our peace, having made both one and having broken down the barrier of the partition of hostility, having annulled in His flesh the law of commandments in ordinances, so that He might create in Himself the two into one new man, making peace,”

It’s highly unlikely that you will ever figure out (from studying line upon line in your Bible) that this is talking about your BRAIN; the 2 Brain Hemispheres that in the average person function separate from each other. Which results in the “house divided against itself”. Lots of confusing Bible jargon.

Now, these are all wise sayings from Jesus and other Bible characters for back in their day, but to this day most Bible students do not know what those passages are going on about. It came to me by personal revelation, an ‘aha’ moment some time ago. And I have been talking about this for some time now.

When I was recently introduced to Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, I was delighted with glee that finally we have someone (a Soul who incarnated for this very purpose) who can give real context for these obscure and encrypted biblical texts and parables, and give them meaning in intelligent and contemporary language.

You will understand clearly what the parables in the Bible are hinting at, once you spend some time listening to Dr. Jill Bolte. Save yourself a lot of time, trouble and woo-woo… and get straight to the core of the mystery.

Question about the TORAH

** None of this may resonate with you at all, it does not need to. It’s OK **

Rene Gade commenting somewhere else about the question of the TORAH:

What I am seeing from the scriptures (as understanding progressed with the disciples) is a trend away from the Law and the Prophets. They had their time and purpose while Christ was not born, to proclaim and point to Him.

One such passage being at the mount of Transfiguration…

Matt 17:3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. 4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒖𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒔; one for thee, and one for Moses (Law), and one for Elias (Prophets).
5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒅 𝑺𝒐𝒏, in whom I am well pleased; 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙮𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙢.
6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. 7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. 8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒔𝒂𝒘 𝒏𝒐 𝒎𝒂𝒏, 𝒔𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚.

There is an important message being conveyed here..anytime the Father pulls back the curtain from heaven like that, we need to pay special attention.
He intentionally “clouded” Moses and Elijah from their view, to reveal Jesus 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲. He purposefully took the spotlight off the Law and Prophets and said… Listen to my Son!
Everything the Law and Prophets pointed to, is standing right in front of you.

The writer to the Hebrews picks up on the same theme again…

Heb 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 hath 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗻, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Again the message is, Listen to the Son! The Christ!

Scripture refers to the ordinances of touch not and taste not as “beggarly things”.

Gal 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒈𝒂𝒓𝒍𝒚 elements, where unto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.

Col 2:14 Blotting out the 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒘𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

The only “handwritten” ordinance against us is the Torah, because the end result for every Israelite was certain death. One need only read Deut 28:15ff to understand the CURSE this document truly was. And the only way out from under that was for innocent blood to buy out the contract.
To finish my thoughts… ponder this… Jesus did NOT come to deliver us from His “wrathful” Father… for the Father and the Son are one in purpose and Spirit, and they are always GOOD and always LOVE.

The God of heaven did not require BLOOD, that is not a currency of heaven…but something of evil origin in this earth.

Galatians and Colossians do give us a hint about who delivered the Law… it refers to elemental spirits, principalities and powers… in other words ruling “angels” of darkness. Acts 7:53

There is much more to say about this, and this comment is way too long already… but the LORD in the Old Testament always appears from a deep darkness.

The God of heaven is pure Light and in Him is 𝗻𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹. Even if He tried to shroud Himself in dark clouds, the darkness would have to flee by His sheer nature. 1.John 1:5

And then there is this…John 1:18 𝗡𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻 hath seen God 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

Would “no man” include Moses who is said to have met God “face to face”?
